Account Ownership Policy

Measure accounts are owned by the individual or organization that created the account. This policy explains how account ownership works and how it can be transferred.
Who Owns an Account?
For individuals: If you sign up as an individual, you own the account and all data within it.
For organizations: If you sign up on behalf of a company or organization, the organization owns the account, not the individual who created it. The person who signs up becomes the account administrator, but the account and its data belong to the organization.
Account Administrator
The account administrator (the person who created the account) has the ability to:
- Add and remove websites from the account
- Manage billing information and subscription
- Cancel the account
- Transfer administrator rights to another person
Transferring Account Ownership
Account ownership can be transferred in the following situations:
Within an Organization
If you need to transfer administrator rights to another person in your organization, please contact us at support@measure.events. We'll need verification from both the current administrator and the new administrator.
When an Employee Leaves
If an employee who administered the account leaves your organization, an authorized representative can contact us to transfer the account. We'll require verification of your authority to act on behalf of the organization.
Selling a Business
If your organization is sold or transferred to new ownership, the Measure account can be transferred as part of that transaction. Please contact us with documentation of the transfer.
Disputes
In cases of disputed ownership (for example, disagreements between business partners), we cannot act as arbiter. We will require:
- Agreement from all parties, or
- A court order or legal documentation establishing rightful ownership
Until a dispute is resolved, we will maintain the status quo of the account.
Deceased Account Holders
In the unfortunate event that an individual account holder passes away, we can work with verified family members or legal representatives to transfer or close the account. Please contact us with appropriate documentation.
